(I was supprised to find the new Shakira so high

(This song has quite a story. 2 Many DJ’s totally
fucked up(:-)) the song by mixing it with ‘Our Friends
Electric’ and in this version it is also a hit again.
So Different Gear created a club version so you

alternative this song is very catchy and groovy
and heavily inspired by the Giorgio Moroder sound)
3.Jakatta-So Lonely
(Same trick is used again from ‘American Dream’, now
with another catchy piano tune. But the atmosphere
remains steady and thats why I like it :-))

(Very original unpredictable catchy clubtune! You can hardly

(One of my alltime favourites. All Blue Lagoon songs
are characterized by an extreme good balance of catchy club sound,

It is still a classic.)
2.Novy vs Eniac-Someday Somehow(Woef Edit)
(‘Superstar’ was a hugh hit. After that there
was ‘Someday Somehow’ which hardly got any attention.
I think this song is even better then ‘Superstar’.
Made a remake of this song, Single is too short,
12inch was too long and the vocal was a bit suppressed.
Combined all good aspects of both versions in one remix.
This is the perfect 12Inch 🙂 )
3.Klubbers Revenge-Menthal Atmosphere
(Absoluut floorfiller in my Discotheque after
all these years. Catchy synthesizer sound combined
with pamflute. The original was from DJ Miki
which is hard to get and hardly known among DJ’s)

Somehow it didn’t get the attention it deserved.
Nice vocals together with a bit ‘Moroder’ synthesizer

the moment)
3.Svensson&Gielen-We Know What You Did
(Trance tune with classical influences which reminds
me alot of the songs released by Brainbug (Nightmare)
a few years ago.)

(The guys behind this ‘Maxima Tango’ project are G-Spott
and Jose. Finally they were able to get things fixed with
the copyrights.)

1.Peran van Dijk-Feel My Body Talking
(One of the last releases of Peran from the
Jean&Peran period. After this release he started
to make different music which to my opinion is a
pitty. Nice clever vocal club tune from which only
the single version is interesting.)
2.JX-You Belong To Me
(The most popular dance tune of JX altough I prefer
‘Sun of a Gun’. One of my classic favourites)
3.Ulta High-Stay
(Song which hasn’t gained much popularity when it was
released. Altough it is at least 5 years old it already
has a trance sound and a catchy menacholic vocal)

Gear remix more and more! And it is again becoming
one of my favorites!)

3.BBE-Seven Days And One Week
(BBE came with a brand new sound which
has been copied alot over the years. It still
sounds trendy!)
4.Rainbox-Seed Scattered
(A song very much in line with BBE. Thats probably
why they mix so great together!)

(A remake of a Armand van Helden’s remix.
The rhythm and some samples are slightly altered
but the song has mainly kept its atmosphere.
One of my all time favourites!)

(We had the original club version in the playlist
months ago but I often hear this Riva mix played
as well. Some more trance influences but the sweet
vocal is still there)

(Trance tune, pretty good, what more to say? )

(The funniest hardclub song I heard in months.
I like the part where they ‘uppitch’ samples)

song reminds of the Future Groove Express when I listen
to the way the samples are used)
3.Michael Jackson-Billy Jean(Bushwacka Remix)
(Remake of Michael’s ancient disco classic. The first
4 minutes are nothing more then sample re(ab)use after
which the original uppitched song comes in again.
Not really special but because the song is classic
people will enjoy dance on it)
4.ATB-Hold You(Club Mix)
(This is my favourite at the moment! ATB did a great
job here, nice sweet catchy vocals combined with a not too
much trance sound. Love it! There is also a Svenson&Gielen
remix but is less interesting)
5.Cher-This Is A Song For The Lonely(Thunderpussy Mix)
(I am not sure when this song was released and how the original
mix sounds like but the remix by thunderpussy really does the
job. Its a nice ‘Cher’ song)

(I think I bought the maxi single more then 6 months
ago. Strange that now suddenly this song gets popular.
It reminds me somehow of Underworld with Born Slippy.
Almost hardcore but not bad)

(A minor success for this Dutch singer who
scored with my favourite “Its a Lovin Thing”
and lately with “Something Going On”)

(One of my favourite trance tunes of 2001.
Its not in the Hotlist 15 of 2001 because I
discovered the record rather late. But maybe
it can be a success for 2002.)

(Whaaw, this really is my favourite at the moment!
Its so damn relaxed! No complications there. Nice
guitar with a good club beat!)
3.Yazz-Only Way Is Up(WIP 2001 Mix)
(Yazz goes trance. Remake of the old club classic.
Not bad at all although I prefer the original.)
4.Kylie Minoque-Cant Get You Out Of My Head
(I remember playing this song in my club 2 months
ago and I was very worried that it would leave me
with an empty dance floor. It didn’t of course! But
I am really amazed by its success since the song
is not real suprising. It must be the catchy
‘la la la ..’ 🙂 )

(It doesn’t happen very often to succeed in collecting
a number of Vocal trance songs in a mix which aren’t
that ‘cheap’ sounding. Dance Nation is commercial

2.Perpetueus Dreamer-Sound Of Goodbye(Tribal Feel Mix)
(This song is available in 2 versions. This is Armin van Buuren’s
remix which I prefer above the other one. It has the same
atmosphere as Delirium-Silence(DJ Tiesto remix) and I
think it is almost just as good!)
3.Madelyne-A Deeper Love(Instrumental Mix)
(Nice instrumental version of this vocal trance song.

The song is quite high in the Dutch pop charts at
the moment)
3.Espuma-The Ultimate Trip(Sam Pling Mix)
(Good example of a good Hard Club tune without
too much trance influences. I really like this one!)
4.Motivation-Para Mi
(This song contains a nice sample of church organ (it
sounds like one). The bassline is rather harmonic and
rather dominating. Unique song!)
5.Da Hool-Meet Her At The Loveparade(2001 Remix)
(A new remix of this already timeless club classic.
The full version lasts for over 9 minutes and it takes
quite a long time before the song gets really started.
